Banja Luka, 9 March, 2017

Privredna banka Sarajevo d.d. Sarajevo is merged with BOR banka d.d. Sarajevo.

Based on the Decision of the Banking Agency of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, no. 04-3-3766-1/16 of 29 Sept, 2016 cancelled is the license for the establishment and banking operations to Privredna banka Sarajevo d.d. Sarajevo. Based upon Decision of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, no. 065-0-Reg-16-004985 of 21 Dec, 2016 the same is merged with BOR banka d.d. Sarajevo. In accordance with the Decision of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, no. 065-0-Reg-16-005588 of 28 Feb, 2017 they shall operate under the name PRIVREDNA BANKA SARAJEVO d.d. SARAJEVO, abbreviation: PBS dd Sarajevo.

Investiciono-komercijalna banka d.d. Zenica will operate under the new name

Based on the decision of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo no. 065-0-Reg-16-004922 from 30 Dec 2016, Investiciono-komercijalna banka d.d. Zenica  has changed the name and headquarter  and it will operate under the name ASA Banka d.d. Sarajevo.

Based on the decision of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo no. 065-0-Reg-16-003186 from 31 Oct 2016 and the District Commercial Court in Banja Luka no. 057-0-Reg-16-002147 from 28 Oct 2016, Hypo Alpe - Adria Bank d.d. Mostar and Hypo Alpe - Adria Bank a.d. Banja Luka have changed the name and will operate under the name Addiko Bank d.d. Sarajevo, respectively Addiko Bank a.d. Banja Luka.

STATUS CHANGE BY MERGER OF MOJA BANKA D.D. SARAJEVO TO INVESTICIONO-KOMERCIJALNA BANKA D.D. ZENICA

On 31 July 2016 a status change of merging Moja banka d.d. Sarajevo to Investiciono-komercijalna banka DD Zenica took place.
The Bank shall continue to operate under the name Investiciono-komercijalna banka DD Zenica.

Public release about reimbursement of insured deposits in Banka Srpske a.d. Banja Luka in liquidation

Operating license was revoked from Banka Srpske on 11 May 2016 since when the legal deadline starts to run for DIA to reimburse insured deposits. In a short time, on the eight day of revocation of Bank’s operating license, i.e. on 23 May 2016 the DIA started with insured deposits payout.

In accordance with the Law on Deposit Insurance reimbursed are deposits up to BAM 50 thousand. Total insured deposits with Banka Srpske amount to BAM 55.4 million, and total number of depositors is around 14 thousand.

UniCredit Bank a.d. Banja Luka, being an Agent Bank, shall reimburse insured deposits and the payout is performed very quickly and within anticipated pace. Although the DIA is obligated to payout insured deposits within 60 day from the day of Bank’s license withdrawal, this work has been done in a significant part for 8 working days (including also Saturday) since so far BAM 41.9 million or 76% of insured deposits has been reimbursed, respectively 6 874 depositors or 48% of no of insured depositors. Depositors may claim their insured deposits within period of 5 year from the day of revocation of Bank’s license.

The DIA notifies the public that reimbursement of insured deposits with two failed banks has shown that Deposit Insurance Fund completely performs its task for which it was established, which is to protect insured deposits and by doing so contribute to the financial stability. It often can be heard unfounded statements relating to the strength of the Deposit Insurance Fund and its capacity to perform its tasks also in the future. Such statements send a negative message and can result in unnecessary bank run. In order to make truthful information to insured depositor and general public in BiH, the DIA reports it has protected insured bank deposits in the previous period very effectively and will remain to do so in the future.

NOTICE TO DEPOSITORS OF BANKA SRPSKE A.D. BANJA LUKA


We inform depositors of Banka Srpske a.d. Banja Luka "in liquidation" that the Deposit Insurance Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina shall begin the pay-out of insured deposits via an Agent bank - UniCredit bank a.d. Banja Luka starting from

23 May 2016

The reimbursement process will be carried out in alphabetical order in a particular branch office of UniCredit Bank Banja Luka determined based upon the place of residence of clients, on which will all depositors of Banka Srpske will be informed also by invitation letters that they will get in the mail. The information desk shall be specially marked in each branche office, as well as the tellers desks intended for depositors of Banka Srpske.


In order to realize their rights in connection with insured deposits, depositors should bring a letter of invitation, identification document; ID card / or passport, and a copy of ID / or passport and proof of ownership (passbook, contract on insured deposit, current account card or other account card, etc.). The request for payment of insured deposits, as well as the declaration of subrogation – transfer of claims will be delivered to depositors at Agent Bank‘s tellers desks.

If another person is authorized to dispose of deposit, it is necessary that depositor makes a new power of attorney mentioning that the same applies to the disposal of insured deposits with UniCredit Bank a.d. Banja Luka.

Reimbursement will be conducted based upon the choice of depositor in cash, transfer of money to the account of the Agent Bank or any other bank. Payout of legal entities shall be made by transferring money to the transaction account indicated in the Request by legal entity.

PRESS RELEASE

Deposit Insurance Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina informs the public, that the Banking Agency of Republika Srpska with its Decision no. 03-614/2016 of April 27th 2016, which has become official as of May 11th 2016, revoked operating license to Banka Srpske a.d. Banja Luka.

Within its statutory authorities, the Management Board of the Deposit Insurance Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina with its Decision no. 01-1-01-1-162/3-16 of May 11th 2016, has determined the termination of membership in the deposit insurance program for Banka Srpske a.d. Banja Luka.

As the legal obligation for the pay-out of insured deposits occurred, in accordance with the Law on Deposit Insurance in Banks of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Deposit Insurance Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina shall pay-out the insured deposits to depositors and savers (natural and legal persons) of Banka Srpske a.d. Banja Luka no later than 60 days from the date of revocation of operating license from the given bank.

Pay-out will be made through the Agent Bank - UniCredit bank a.d. Banja Luka and depositors will be notified about beginning of reimbursement both individually and through the media.

3rd meeting of Deposit Insurers from Balkan Region - multilateral MoU signed

Multilateral MoU Signing

After two previous meetings held in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2015, Deposit Insurers from Balkan region, members of the European Forum of Deposit Insurers, met in Serbia (Zlatibor) on March 11th where they continue to exchange knowledge, experience and best practices in the field of Deposit Insurance .

In order to boost the cooperation and expertise exchange, Deposit Insurers from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia signed multilateral Memorandum of understanding.

The objective of multilateral MoU is to enable the signatories to create joint platforms so as to pursue their mutual interests in international organizations, to enhance their experience and expertise, and to work closely together to support and contribute to the overall financial stability in the region. The signatories plan to accomplish these goals by exchanging relevant information on the situation in local financial and banking sectors, participating in crisis simulation exercises, initiating joint research projects, improving the regulatory framework and practice, setting up expert groups, staff exchange and training, etc.

The meeting also included various panel discussions on the risk monitoring and deposit insurance premium assessment, and deposit insurance fund financing and management.

NLB Razvojna banka a.d. Banja Luka operates under the new name NLB Banka a.d. Banja Luka

Based on the Decision of the District Court in Banja Luka, no. 057-0-Reg-16-000125 od 28. January 2016 the name of NLB Razvojna banka a.d. Banja Luka was changed. This Bank will operate under the name NLB Banka a.d. Banja Luka.

NOTIFICATION FOR DEPOSITORS AND SAVERS IN BANKA SRPSKE A.D. BANJA LUKA

Based upon Decision no. 03-1660/2015 of 11 November 2015, the Banking Agency of Republika Srpska has appointed a Provisional Administrator in Banka Srpske a.d. Banja Luka. Within 60 days of his appointment, the Provisional Administrator was obligated to recommend to the Banking Agency of Republika Srpska the measures referred to in Article 113 of the Banking Law of Republika Srpska, respectively whether to revoke operating license, or go for rehabilitation of the Bank, sale of the part of the assets or acquisition or merger with another bank.

According to the press release of the Banking Agency of Republika Srpska of 18th January 2016, in line with Article 113, Paragraph 2, Point 2 and 3 of the Banking Law of Republika Srpska the Provisional Administrator of the Bank has recommended to undertake measures for recovery of the Bank through rehabilitation of its business operations or by undertaking measures for sale. Aforesaid recommendation assumed the obligation of the Bank's shareholders to draw up an action plan to implement the necessary measures to eliminate non-compliances in Bank's operations and to improve its financial situation, with a clear timetable and schedule of implementation, bearing in mind the deadline determined by the decision of the Government of Republika Srpska which expires on 7 February 2016.

Based upon the press release of the Bank, by taking into account the conclusions of the RS Government of 8 February 2016 which confirms that there are ongoing preparatory activities on the development of economic and financial policies for the negotiation purposes on the financial arrangement with the International Monetary Fund, and which will affect the principles and models of the Bank restructuring, the Provisional Administrator made suggestion that the deadline for submission of the Bank Action Plan by shareholders to be prolonged for a 30 days from the date of issuance of the above-mentioned conclusion. According to the press release, if the Government of Republika Srpska fails to deliver the subject plan within this period, the Provisional Administrator shall send a request to the Banking Agency of Republika Srpska to start liquidation proceedings.

If one of the possible measures under Article 113 of the Banking Law of Republika Srpska shall be withdrawal of the license, the Deposit Insurance Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in accordance with Article 12.2.3 of the Law on Deposit Insurance, shall complete all reimbursements of insured deposits within 60 days from the date of revocation of license.

The maximum amount of an Insured Deposit, including any accrued interest, to be reimbursed by the Agency per Depositor per Member Bank shall be the Eligible Deposit less legal or contractual debt owed to the Member Bank by the Depositor up to KM 50,000. Interest is calculated until the date of revocation of the operating license.

Within its statutory authorities, the Management Board of the Deposit Insurance Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina with its Decision no. 01-1-01-1-518/3-14 of December 23rd, 2014. has determined the termination of membership in the deposit insurance program for Bobar Banka a.d. Bijeljina.

As the legal obligation for the pay-out of insured deposits occurred, the Deposit Insurance Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina shall pay-out the insured deposits to depositors and savers (natural and legal persons) of Bobar Banka a.d.
